Bella the Bear, Jaydn Bailey, & Mini!

A couple weeks ago we got our chocolate lab "Bella The Bear" and I am completely in love with the little terror. The next day one of my good friends Wendy ( my make up assistant) got THE cutest baby kitten Jaydn Bailey and three weeks later my friend alexa ( my other make up assistant) got a puppy as well, MINI :) In the midst of all our new loves we couldn't forget our oldie but goodie the princess miss Coco herself.
So I brought them all over one day and despite the fact that my house turned into a zoo I was able to capture all our lovely babies <3

Oh Jaydn how cute are you!
I am not a cat person AT ALL!
I love my doggies but she is just to cute , I can't help it.

Let me just tell you photographing Animals is probably one of the hardest subjects to do!
Especially when they are altogether , the are constantly chasing and playing.
It was very physically demanding to say the least.
I will be doing another shoot soon within the Month of August for a Friends 21st birthday, she works at a private zoo and is also currently training Bella for us.
So stay tuned for her exotic shoot with her Animals!

My Second Wedding

I think the title says it all. Events are pretty nerve racking yet exciting just because you cannot put a moment you want to capture on pause. I still love doing them because of the pressure.Maria Brito a photographer I work for connected me to Sahily (both great , talented, and creative photographers). Sahily needed a back shooter ( which is when you go with the main shooter and shoot with another camera and help capture other moments) two heads are better than one aren't they! So two weeks later we were on a 2 hour rode trip! I loved doing this because I got to learn so much, meet new people and I had to do no editing! lol
so here are the photos Sahily and I shot. you can check it out on her blog. Thanks Maria once again and thanks Sahily :D

Books and Kels

So my Best Friend and I set out to take shots for her album cover. Yes, Kelsey Rodriguez is  an anointed song writer and singer.check out her work :D http://www.myspace.com/kelseymusik4pi
Any way, we started out in Design District and quickly realized that it wasn't working out for us. So we transitioned to a different look and location (location was all her idea) Not only was it perfect for her but it captured her personality well! She gave me the opportunity to experiment indoors and with artificial lighting
(which I do love) and presented another opportunity, hardly any editing! That always excites me. Besides the fact that this shoot is very different and simple I love it because it reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast! haha the ladder, books, and jean dress. All we were missing was the braided pig tails with bows.
I loved being surrounded by books in this quaint atmosphere, it reminds me just how much I love to read.
p.s. my other make up artist and friend is Alexa Naranjo, she did the make up for this shoot.

This was actually the first photo in the shoot!
after shooting for about two hours we took a look back at the photos and bursted into laughter,
because  without even looking at the title of the book she picked it up!
PERFECT and Ironic. all at the same time. but none the less A GOOD LAUGH
Excuse me while I love on my ISLA!

She is currently in India for two months serving at an orphanage there!
So proud of my Kels

Miss Mallo

Amanda Mallo is a very talented young lady ready to pursue her dreams in the film industry. I was privileged to attend high school with her in the arts program for drama. She called me to do head shots for her and I was so excited because we have been talking about doing this for a while and finally we got it done! I love doing Head shots and doing shoots for upcoming models, artist, actors, and musicians! I love helping them and since the arts is  one of my main passions, I enjoy giving the artist the materials they need to advertise themselves.
SIDE NOTE: One of my friends that does make up along side me is Wendy Collado. I showed her earlier in Jessica Renees shoot. I have left her link here so you can see some of her work. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=473723&id=828965610#!/photo.php?pid=14004247&id=828965610&fbid=10150237334180611
Make up artist on set! once again.

Jessica Renee Militare

Oh what a handful she is! I loved the two locations I took her to do these shoots they were most definitely dangerous spots and not to mention hard to get around (especially in heels) her case, and in mine with a camera. I had a good friend Wendy Collado do her make up and she is available for any other shoots as well. She also tagged along :D. you will see her popping out in the back of one of the photos.
these two locations I feel describe my best friend because of her love for the urban scene and her love for sailboats! can't you tell by her outfit!
Enjoy
This is my personal favorite and I didn't notice until after
but that is me in her eyes, my reflection.

Let Freedom Ring

THE FOURTH OF JULY! America the beautiful's Independence day. What is a better way to celebrate than fire works. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA.
I went to the beach with a couple friends to watch the gorgeous fire works show with our feet in the sand and decided it would be yet another great opportunity to learn and experiment.
I was very surprised with the outcome I got! better than I thought. But I played around a lot with the shutter speed and had lots of fun. no flash, just tri pod!
I loved shooting fireworks because it consisted of practically zero editing!
This photo I did not edit AT all, except for my link.
This just shows how powerful fire works are and the light they illuminate is.
the light given of by that same firework lit up the beach enough for me to take pictures of my friends as well!

Behind the scenes

One of my good Friends Katie Mokher who is now married so she is Katie Lopez :D, is also a photographer and she did a shoot for my friend Katrina! Katrina is an aspiring model and the photos came out great! It was so great to tag along because I love both of them, they are both individually talented, beautiful and entertaining! and every shoot is always just another opportunity to learn. So here are some behind the scenes shots I did for Katie. Here is HER incredible blog spot http://www.katiemokherphotography.blogspot.com/. you can see some of the ACTUAL shots from the shoot.

Katie and her husband Cito!
I enjoy making them laugh <3!

I loved watching Katie photograph.
Since she use to be a dancer she always points her toes.

A photographer and also a stylist ;)

and this is just  how we wrapped everything up!
This is God's hand at work. and mine is just a photo of it.
